The present work has for title(degree) “ Measures of prevention of the infections of sexual transmission that the sexual workers apply in the surroundings of the Hospital Maria Auxiliadora “ having as general aim(lens): To describe the measures of prevention of infections of sexual transmission that the sexual workers apply. With regard to the Materials and Methods, the study is of level aplicativo, quantitatively and descriptively, of transverse court(cut), which he(she) evaluated 48 Sexual Workers who are employed at the surroundings of the Hospital Maria Auxiliadora Villa Maria of the Victory, bearing criteria of selection in mind and sampled systematicly, to whom there was applied an instrument validated by experts' judgment(reason) and pilot applied(hardworking) test(proof), previous assent. The results were emptied in a database (Excel) and later analyzed. Inside the opposing results we have that: of a whole of 48 (100 %) Sexual Workers, 25 (56.3 %) does not carry out medical periodic control, 25 (52.1 %) does not know the correct use of the condom(preservative) and 25 (52.1 %) does not have any care with his(her,your) sexual stable pair(couple), coming to the following conclusions: The majority of the sexual workers recount to apply preventive measures before, during and later. The preventive measures that the sexual workers apply with major frequency during working hours are a hygiene of genitalia post coitales, I reject clients with sores in genitalia, they do not consume alcohol and / or drugs, the preventive measures that the sexual workers do not apply in the main are: medical periodic control, correct use of the condom(preservative), to apply preventive measures with his(her,your) pair(couple).
