--- Objective: To identify risk factors in the preconception stage users of family planning clinics INMP. February. 2015.Methodology: It is applied studio, transverse and prospective cut, with descriptive design, with a population made up of users who go to family planning clinics of the National Maternal Perinatal Institute, the sample consisted of 73 users, the sample was non-probabilistic by convenience. Data processing was performed using SPSS version 21.0. Results and Conclusions:This study identified that 15.1% of users are over age 35 and 6.8% are under age 19; 23.3% are overweight, according to their Body Mass Index. In analyzing the medical history, 4.1% of respondents reported nephropathy. Regarding family history, 35.6% reported diabetes mellitus; regarding obstetric gynecological history; 43.8% were multiparous, 42.5% of respondents had at least one abortion, short birth period occurred in 50.7% of users. 71.2% reported having sexual intercourse started 15-19 years. As for the Pap smear, 19.2% never performed it; 49.3% of patients used as a method of family planning contraceptive pills. 47.9% of respondents mentioned being a housewife and 52.1% reported as marital status, cohabitation. Besides 64.4 % are not physically active and el46.6 % reported a monthly income between 750-1000 soles. Keywords: risk factor preconception stage, family planning.
