--- The overflow of rivers and heavy rains in Peru has affected 1'451,251 between 2003 and 2008, becoming this way the second natural disaster in Peru after frost. For that reason, this work of thesis has developed a telemetry module on mobile GSM (Global System Mobile) based to early warning of a person or group of persons organized adequately with the increased water level and possible overflow of a river using sensing techniques by ultrasound, data measured management through a microcontroller PIC18F4550 and then transmitted and received by the end user for this purpose using GSM technology SIM548C. The end user will have access to data via a mobile device or through a computer with a graphical interface of the Monitoring Center, using the Short Message Service (SMS).
