-- Research on perception of the nurse on the emotional support offered by the Family the schizophrenic patient who was admitted for the first time and Del Reingresante Psychiatric Services 1 and 20 the Victor Larco Herrera Hospital. 2009, is a study of application level, quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional method, aimed to: determine the perception of the nurse on providing emotional support for family members young adult schizophrenic patient who was admitted first reingresante and psychiatry services 1 and 20 Victor Larco Herrera Hospital. Were studied with 28 female nurses of wards 1 and 20 of psychiatry, which met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a semantic differential human emotional needs, prior informed consent of the nurses. The results were processed and analyzed in statistical tables. These were: In the nurse's perception of emotional support provided by the family the patient was admitted for the first time, a total of 28 nurses (100%), 16 (57.1%) have a favorable perception, 7 (25% ) have a moderately favorable perception, and 5 (17.9%) had an unfavorable perception. Regarding the perception of the nurse on providing emotional support for family members to reingresante schizophrenic patient psychiatric service hospital 1 and 20 Víctor Larco Herrera, shows that a total of 28 nurses (100%) , 7 (25%) have a favorable perception, 13 (46.4%) had moderately favorable perception, and 8 (28.6%) had an unfavorable perception of emotional support provided by the family. The study results indicate that when a schizophrenic patient first enters the hospital has become more emotional support that gives your family which will foster in its treatment, recovery and rehabilitation, whereas a patient who has relapsed and therefore re-enters the deteriorating family offered emotional support to patient.
