--- The aim of this study is to evaluate the immune response of large and small macrocystic S aucheniae; inoculation using three protocols. Alpaca meat samples were sent to sarcocistiosis CAMALES Huancavelica from the Laboratory of Veterinary Parasitology, where macrocystic were collected and classified by size, in macrocystic small (1-3 mm.) And large (> 5 mm). antigenic proteins were obtained from each group, and their protein concentrations of 3.229 mg / ml and 2.445 for large macrocystic mg / ml for macrocystic small steps by the method of Biuret. Were immunized two groups of 15 rabbits with antigenic protein derived from macrocystic “big“ and “small“ in S. aucheniae and each group was divided into 3 subgroups of rabbits 5 ea; where protocols were applied for inoculation of 1 and 2 months' duration, with antigenic proteins inactivated with formalin and the other with heat-inactivated antigenic protein with a length of 2 months. Subsequently, sera were detected the presence of specific response between Ag and Ab in the two types of test macrocystic by double agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID). Finding a 100% response in protocols I and II evaluated macrocystic large and 60% with protocol III. With regard to small macrocystic was 100%, 60% and 40% of Ag and specific Ab response in the first, second and third inoculation protocol respectively. Antigens macrocystic obtained a large response of 86.6% of cases while the small antigen macrocystic was a 66.6%. Accordingly antigenic protein extracts from S. macrocystic large aucheniae showed a greater immune response than those of small macrocystic, using three protocols of immunization. However, Fisher's analysis, no association was observed between protocols and Ag-Ab reaction. Keywords: Sarcocystis aucheniae, macrocystic, antigenic proteins, immune response, inoculation protocols.
