The present study entitled “Knowledge about HIV/AIDS and Lifestyle of women in reproductive age infected with HIV in an NPO in Lima, 2014“. Objective: to determine knowledge about HIV/AIDS and lifestyles of women in reproductive age infected with HIV. Methodology: Research is quantitative, level application, and the design is descriptive. The particular sample consisted of 66 women between 18 and 43 years in an NGO in Lima, who were interviewed. Results: Female respondents have knowledge about their disease by 70% (46). They know the risk factors by 86% (57), followed by conceptual aspects by 84% (56) and modes of transmission in 66.6% (44). In the lifestyles found that 58% (38) are healthy. Likewise, 93.9% attend their medical supervision, 90.9% have multiple sexual partners and 84.8% participate in self-help groups. However, only 25.8% (17) exercise, 42.4% (28) have a balanced diet, 28.8% (19) feel appreciated 36, 4% (24) communicate their feelings. Conclusions: Women of childbearing age infected with HIV have knowledge about conceptual lesser percentage in relation to the transmission modes specifically via mother-to-child; in relation to risk factors must be only slightly more than half consider abandoning treatment as a risk factor for developing AIDS. In relation to the variable lifestyles was obtained in the biological dimension interviewed women have a healthy lifestyle. Being critical areas relating to food and lack of exercise likewise have a healthy lifestyle in relation to the social dimension if it is found that less than half of women receiving family support. In the psychological dimension, women have an unhealthy lifestyle characterized by a diminished selfesteem, lack of confidence to communicate their feelings, and perceived lack of affection of others towards them.
