--- It is taxonomic study of the Plantaginaceae family in the Central Andes, the departments of Lima, Huanuco, Ancash, Pasco and Junin. It is presented collections were between 1100 to 4700 m altitude, unsing standard techniques for taxonomicos studies. In addition we studied the collections of the Herbarium San Marcos (USM). The taxonomic studies were made using keys and descriptions available in the literature. We report 2 genera and 12 species, the most diverse genus with 11 species is Plantago with 7 species. The species Plantago lamprophylla, Plantago sericea and Plantago lanceolata, have greater range of altitudinal distribution (up to 4700 m). Of the species studied in the Central Andes, two are endemic to Peru. Also key was developed for families, genera and species. For each taxon presents a detailed and provides geographic data.
