-- Organizations become socially responsible management of their own waste, recycle, inactivate them and themselves generate, process by physical treatments - chemical or encapsulated and disposed of as solid waste landfills harmless common. Uncontrolled accumulation of toxic waste from laboratories has significant environmental problems and safety and hygiene for all staff. Because this must be a system to allow proper management of hazardous chemical wastes generated in laboratories. This work of investigation studied the factors that intervene in the treatment and final disposition of the toxic residues generated in the laboratories of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering the Mayor National University of San Marcos. This has been considered variables such as degree of hazard, the degree of toxicity or emissions. Have been characterized, suggesting methods of treatment of toxic waste for proper interpretation of the results, we have measured other variables of interest, such as analyzing the impact on the environment as a result of the procedures for the treatment and the same results are obtained analysis for identifying hazards and assessing risks for each activity performed. Trials have also been proposed to interpret the phenomena that occur when encapsulated and inerted are exposed to the action of water. The results have allowed to develop, first, a model for the treatment of laboratory waste. This model, together with the proposed tests are based on a methodology for the treatment of toxic waste from laboratories. In second place, we have developed a model for identifying environmental impacts and hazards and risks. In conclusion, the obtained results have an immediate usefulness in the management of the dangerous residues of the laboratories of chemistry as well as the system design of control. -- Key words: Dangerous Residues, Toxic Residues, Corrosive Residues, Characterization, Emission.
