--- This study reports a prioritization of the generic skills of Veterinary Medicine, based on the opinion of teachers and undergraduate students in Lima-Peru. For this, we interviewed teachers and undergraduate students from 4 Universities of Lima, which have graduates in its Veterinary Schools: UNMSM, UAP, UPCH and UCSUR. The interviewees gave their point of view about the importance of each generic skill and the level achieved of each one by the Veterinary Medicine in their school. It was considered thirty-one (31) generic skills that were classified into 3 groups: Group A or instrumental skills, Group B or interpersonal skills and Group C or systemic competences. The results of teachers and undergraduate students, both agree in the most important skills that are: “decision-making skills,“ “sociocultural Commitment“ and “Will to succeed“. The teachers from the four EAPMV differ on the development of the generic skills in their professional academic schools: UNMSM, will to succeed; UCSUR, concern for the environment, UAP, ability to apply knowledge to practice; UPCH, initiative and spirit entrepreneur. While the students of the four EAPMV coincide in their points of view about the development of the generic skills in their professional academic schools except for one: UNMSM, UAP and UPCH, will to succeed; UCSUR, concern for the environment. The comparison between the development and the level reached by the generic skills of veterinary medicine in each professional academic school indicates that the majority is achieving in the adequate level of performance, and even some of them must be strengthened. Comparing Teachers’ opinions with those of undergraduate students, we noticed that coincide, concluding that both have the same expectations and are directed by the same way.
