--- This research was developed at César Vallejo University located at Los Olivos district, Province of Lima, region Lima; during first and second semesters of 2009. The aim of our research was to emphasize the importance of neurolinguistic programming as the new learning paradigm in education and its relation with the strategic learning of first semester students from the Pre-school Education Professional and Academic School and the Primary Education Professional and Academic School at César Vallejo University. At the beginning of the research at the Preschool Education and Primary Education Professional Schools, there was a total population of 298 students and a representative sample of 100, of which 62 belong to Pre-school Education Professional and Academic School and 38 students to the Primary Education Professional and Academic School. Two instruments were applied. In the first place, the ACRA Scale of learning strategies (Roman & Gallego) and then meta-programs tests validated through experts’ opinion, both at the end of 2009-I academic semester. The hypothesis was that neurolinguistic programming is directly related to the strategic learning of first semester students from the Pre-school Education Professional and Academic School and the Primary Education Professional and Academic School at César Vallejo University. At the end of data processing and in view of the results it is concluded that there is no direct relation between neurolinguistic programming and strategic learning relation with the strategic learning of first semester students from the Pre-school Education Professional and Academic School and the Primary Education Professional and Academic School at César Vallejo University, verifying the null hypothesis. Educational research has not addressed neurolinguistic programming yet. This has only been investigated within the field of psychology. It is undeniable that neurolinguistic programming is a new learning paradigm referred not only to the learning process but the process of unlearning the mental structures that restrict our personal development to be able to relearn the world. It is therefore important to continue investigating its application in the university context.
