The aim of this study was to evaluate the microhardness of enamel surface under the action of hydrogen peroxide 35% (gel). Corresponded to an experimental design research, conducted with a probabilistic sample, intentional than 15 permanent teeth that followed the inclusion criteria. The teeth were prepared to be measured by the identical Vickers (VHN) according to NOM-162 SSAI-2000 and distributed at random into groups. Follows the control group (n = 5) were treated with 0.9% saline while the experimental group (n = 10) was treated with H2O2 35% and stored at 37 ° C in artificial saliva. The surface microhardness measurements were determined before, immediately and after 14 days of completion of the dental bleaching technique. As a result it was found by testing nonparametric Mann Whitney U two independent groups was determined that the control group and the experimental group immediately after application of the agents was statistically significant (p = 0.007). It was determined that the control group and the experimental group after the application of the agents (after 14 days) was obtained statistically significant differences (p = 0.003).
