Peru is one of the endemic centers of the Human T-cell Lymphotropic Virus (HTLV). Fewer researches about the coinfection of this virus and the parasitic diseases have been made in the country. An study of seroprevalence of the HTLV I/II in patients with clinic and/or serologic diagnostic of Estrongyloidiosis, Leishmaniosis and Trypanosomiosis have been made, with the aim of know the relations of coinfection between the HTLV I/II and the parasitic diseases. 119 serum samples were analyzed (26 correspondant to patients diagnosed with Estrongyloidiosis, 17 with Leishmaniosis and 76 with Tripanosomiosis). Demographic data and risk factors of the association virus – parasite were collected by using clinic epidemiologic histories of patients attended in the Instituto de Medicina Tropical “Daniel Alcides Carrión” UNMSM. Diagnose of the HTLV-I/II infection was evaluated in two steps using serologic test that detected indirectly the presence HTLV-I/II specific antibodies. On the first step (preselection) the serologic technique of ELISA HTLV-I/II Vironostika was used. Then the confirmatory test Inmunoblot INNOLIATM Innogenetics was used. The results obtained were analyzed by the software SPPS 12.0 using the test of ANOVA. In the samples corresponding to Leishmaniosis there was no presence of HTLV-I/II. The serum samples of Strongyloidiosis showed a coinfection frequency of 6.25% (1/16) on the individuals of positive parasitosis, in the age range of 21 to 30 years old from the department of Junín.
