The present work was a radiographic study refered to hip dysplasia incidence in Rottweiller dogs older than 1 year remarking the lesion at coxefemoral articulation. This study was done under the I.C.F. (International Cinology Federation) scientific requirements concerned to the disease, rules which apply even in our country Sixty dogs were radiologically evaluated at the Small Animal Veterinary Clinic of School of Veterinary medicine of Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and the were randomly selected and divided into two groups according to the sex (30 per each gender), age (divided in 3 groups) and possible clinical sintomatology. For clinical diagnosis of hip dysplasia an X-rays method was used and the Norberg method was applied to measure each angle of coxofemoral articulation. According to the radiologic study the frequency of hip dysplasia was determined of above 33/60 which means 55%±13, value that was higher than international records. There were no statistic significance between males and females and the disease and mostly of unilateral affection (31.67%) with higher incidence in1 to1.5year old dogs. Besides, no predisposition of affection was notice in right or left coxofemoral articulation neither in degree, way or frecuency. Therefor, the radiologic study was indispensable and important to stablish hip dysplasia diagnosis in dogs, including animals with no clinical manifestation.
