The main objectives of the present investigation was the study of the prevalence and the determination of the epidemiological factors that have been direct relation with the persistence of the intestinal parasitosis in the internal confined population of the housing “Ermelinda Carrera”. We gathered 190 stool samples of children between 4 and 18 years old. The coproparasitological samples was carried out using Direct method, Quick Sedimentation and the Graham method were used for Enterobiosis. The revealed prevalence of intestinal parasitosis were 65,26%, and the most affected age groups were: 10 to 14 years (23,16%) and 15 to 18 years (32,63%). Specific prevalence rates in the parasitic species were Giardia lamblia 19,47% in the protozoan and Enterobius vermicularis 14,21% in the helminthes. While the diner species were Entamoeba coli 36,32% and Endolimax nana 44,74%. The most important epidemiological factors associated with the intestinal parsitosis were: The age, personal hygienic, bedroom cleaning and bad habits (OR mayor de 0,01). The clinical signs associated with intestinal parasitosis were less appetite and global stomach. Finally the treatment with antiparasitic drugs associated with sanitary education have and effectiveness of 88,64% (p mayor de 0,05).
