-- This research paper is entitled “Experiences of older when admitted to a hospital of Metropolitan Lima III, with the general goal, understand the experiences of the elderly during hospitalization in the Medicine Department in a Hospital Metropolitan Lima III. Has a qualitative approach, qualitative case study, study participants were 8 adults over 60 years and older, female (5) and male (3), were used as data collection techniques ¨ Interview in depth ¨, and ¨ ¨ Participant Observation their guides. In the final considerations were positive experiences and negative experiences, the first frame to enhance communication of patient is the health staff and family, feel respected in their autonomy and beliefs as well as feeling supported and cared for by nurse , their families and friends, and they perceive the concern to their welfare. With regard to negative experiences, emerged in this area of limited communication in some patients with health personnel, besides the neglect and mistreatment, cold treatment, the insensitivity of health personnel and in some cases abandonment of their families, limiting the patient's emotional stability elderly. The elder asked for more attention and care according to their limitations, taking into account the physiological, emotional, spiritual and social needs of the elderly, which would encourage adequate attention to your needs and requirements.
