This investigation is related to Architecture (Geometry) and deformation phases regarding sedimentary fills, that underwent both Talara and Lancones Basins and the relation with hydrocarbons acumulation basically in Lancones Basin. Talara and Lancones are Forearc Basins, both had experienced an extensional regime, a prove is the NE-SW direction in the extensional pattern and in their regional faults. Lancones Basin have another E-W secondary pattern denoted by Huaypira Fault. This regime had ocurred in different stages and the existing link of the deformations allow to know the different events, in base of which one can create the interpretations that support the recognition of the structures to trap and accumulate hydrocarbons. With drilled wells information, seismic interpretations and additional information, a good structures have been found to drilling prospects. The major point to approach is the rotated mega block of listric fault Carpitas, into this area with the same name was stated an active petroleum system, viewed by the oil seep “Breita”. In Lancones Basin exists many interesting prospects, they are the major sources to start an aggresive exploration and explotation phases.However exists facts that permit to say that the structural part is not a good definition yet, this investigation try to give a new answer from the questionnaire about deformation and evolution process of both basins. Sediments of Lancones Basin are basically Cretaceous with a shallow Paleogene coverage and the sediments of Talara Basin are mainly Paleogene. Both Basins have Paleozoic basement of metamorphic sequences with outcrops in surface recognized in Amotape Mountains, moreover it is the border between the two basins. The Paleogene sequences in Carpitas field are Mogollon, Ostrea-Echino (sandstones), Talara and Chira-Verdun formations, like reservoirs rocks, into these formations exist shaly sequences (except Mogollon), that are probably source and seal rocks that support to trap hydrocarbons, being part of the petroleum system. In the petroleun system of Lancones Basin, the main reservoir rocks are the Gigantal, Copa Sombrero Group (turbidites) and Amotape quartzites formations. The main source rock is the Muerto formation and even Huasimal formation. The structural geometry of all mega-structure consist of similar extensional regime that involve the Talara and Lancones Basins from Oligocene Serie.
