--- This work is about diet composition of five pigeons and doves species from Bosque de Zarate, Huarochirí Province in Lima, analizing whole digestive tract contents from collected specimens; also is about the seasonal variation in diet composition and finally about pigeons and doves seed dispersal ability in Bosque de Zarate ecosystem. Here is a seasonal pattern in the diet composition of pigeons and doves from Bosque de Zarate specially in taller ones who introduce greater numbers of seeds species during dry season in the forest except for one of them; but there is no competition for the diet domineering seed for each neither places where the seeds are. These birds diet is main compose by greater amounts of seeds and some fruits; it was posible to identify 35 seeds species belong 20 families of plants. Other important constituents of diet are stones, these are introduce like grinding ones and they are in the gizzard mainly, arthropods and others are rarely found. Seed dispersal is a completely random event because the lesser seeds number that are dropped whitout damage, but it depend of stones in the gizzard. It is founded that pigeons and doves from Bosque de Zarate can replace stones by very strong solidity seeds in order to perform the same function, in some cases, these seeds can go through the digestive tract without damage.
