-- The present investigation work has been carried out keeping in mind the Regulation of Grades and Holding of the School of Pre Grade of the Ability of Medicine of the National University bigger than San Marcos, with the purpose of obtaining Medical Surgeon's title. Objective: The investigation was guided The investigation was conducted to identify complicaciones laparoscopic cholecystectomy in patients who were treated in the Surgery Department 6-II in the Hospital National Archbishop Loayza in the period understood between January 01 of the 2007 to December 31 of the 2009. Sample: The selected sample was 289 patients. Instruments: Were the used instruments conformed by a record of gathering of data meetly elaborated for the study ends, was the association of the variables analyzed through the test of square Chi, was the association force with OR, considered also: 0,05. Type of Study: Observational. Investigation design: Descriptive traverse. Result: We found that 78.5% of patients were female and the average age of the total was 46.2 ± 14.6 years. Complications occurred in 8.3% of cases, being the most frequent gallbladder bed bleeding (6.55%) and vascular injury (1.05%). Acute cholecystitis was associated significantly (p less than 0.001) with gallbladder bed bleeding (OR: 8.5, CI 2.2-24.9) Conclusions: Complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in the Surgery Departament 6-II in the Hospital National Archbishop Loayza were of 8.3% which is below the international figures from different series. The study concludes that there is a statistically significant association between acute cholecystitis and gallbladder bed bleeding
