--- The present study reports the results of the effects of PRM program on emotional intelligence in a group of college students within the prospective of a healthy university. The research method used was experimental, while the design utilized is quasiexperimental measuring two groups; experimental (EG) and control (GC), with pre and post test. The sample has been obtained from intentional non-probabilistic selection, and it was composed of 48 university students from the 2nd cycle career of Engineering (industrial, systems and telecommunications) with technical studies in the Peruvian University of Science and Informatics, UPCI. Bar-On Inventory was administered to the sample to measure emotional intelligence in both groups. The PRM program was applied only to the experimental group; also, the data was organized and systematized by statistical analysis, applying the arithmetic mean and Student's t-distribution, for testing hypotheses. The findings indicate that the PRM program has produced significant effects in the emotional intelligence of the sample of college students within the prospect of a healthy university. Also, in a level-specific the PRM program has produced significant effects on intrapersonal, interpersonal and adaptability of the emotional intelligence. Furthermore, the program has not had the expected effects on stress management and state of mind of emotional intelligence.
