The aim of this study was to compare cephalometric discrepancies of Steiner, Tweed and Interlandi in patients with Class I skeletal relationship (as projection USP), for which we studied the lateral cephalograms of 100 patients. Each lateral headfilm was traced and the differences between the cephalometric measurements of the discrepancies of the groups were compared in pairs using the Wilcoxon test, and to compare the three groups used the Friedman test. We found an average value for Steiner of -4.084 mm and for Interlandi of -4.325 mm, presenting both greater variability that Tweed with an average of -2.702 mm. Values proposed by Steiner, Tweed and Interlandi cephalometric discrepancies, were statistically significant. The results of this study suggested that Tweed proposed lower moved retrusive for the inferior incisor in the planning, disagreeing with the majority of previously reported studies. Key words: cephalometric - cephalometric discrepancia - skeletal relationship - line I.
