This paper evaluated the effect of three kind of mating and two feeding types on reproductive parameters using a sample of 210 females and 30 males with a complete block design with a factorial arrangement of 2 (feeding types) per 3 (mating types: postpartum, postweaning, post break). The evaluation came from the information of the second and third birth. The results showed an impact (p<0.05) of mating types over variables such average birth weight, numbers of birth per year and the efficient use of heat, on the other hand, there's a marginal effect (p<0.057) on fertility rate. Additionally, there’s an influence of the type of feeding (p<0.05) on the average birth weight. Also, other data identify the effect of the interaction between feeding type and mating type which interpretation demonstrated that supplementation tends to improve fertility rate, average birth size and estimated annual productivity index during the mating and postpartum, likewise, it tends to reduce in matings with post weaning and post partum according to the time since the birth to the beginning of the mating. In conclusion, it’s recommended to guinea pig breeding the mating post partum with energetic supplementation with a ration of green forage to discretion o the mating post weaning with a feeding based only in a green forage to discretion.
