Abstract: Introducción: El síndrome de agotamiento profesional o burnout, significa “estar o sentirse quemado”, agotado, sobrecargado, exhausto. Este síndrome presenta, tres dimensiones esenciales: el agotamiento emocional, la despersonalización y la falta de realización profesional. Puede presentarse en cualquier profesión; sin embargo, el personal de salud son quienes están más propensos a padecerlo. Objetivos: Determinar la prevalencia del síndrome de Burnout en el personal de salud de la Clínica Maison de Santé durante el año 2015. Diseño: Estudio descriptivo. Lugar: Clínica Maison de Santé de Lima Participantes: Médicos y enfermeras que laboraron en la Clínica Maison de Santé durante el año 2015. Intervención: Aplicación de una encuesta conteniendo el cuestionario Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) y características de los participantes como sexo y edad. Resultados: De los 56 encuestados, 48.2% fueron varones y 51.8% mujeres. La edad promedio fue de 38.1 ± 10.05 años. El 44.6% presentó agotamiento emocional alto, 76.7% despersonalización alta y 60.7% baja realización personal. Conclusiones: La frecuencia del síndrome de Burnout según los criterios definidos por Maslach fue de 39.2%. La dimensión más afectada fue la despersonalización, encontrándose que el 76.7% mostraron niveles altos. Palabras Clave: Burnout, agotamiento profesional, médico, enfermeras.

It can occur in many profession; however, health professionals are those who most likely suffer it. Objectives: To determine the prevalence of Burnout syndrome in health professional of the Maison of Sante Clinic during 2015. Design: Descriptive study. Location: Maison of Sante Clinic, Lima-Peru. Participants: Physician and nurses who worked in the Maison of Sante Clinic during 2015. Intervention: Application of a survey containing the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and participant characteristics such as sex and age.
