--- Introduction: The burnout syndrome or exhaustion, it means being or” feeling burnt out”, overworked, exhausted. This syndrome has three essential components: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and lack of professional achievement. It can occur in many profession; however, health professionals are those who most likely suffer it. Objectives: To determine the prevalence of Burnout syndrome in health professional of the Maison of Sante Clinic during 2015. Design: Descriptive study. Location: Maison of Sante Clinic, Lima-Peru. Participants: Physician and nurses who worked in the Maison of Sante Clinic during 2015. Intervention: Application of a survey containing the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and participant characteristics such as sex and age. Results: Of the 56 respondents, 48.2% were male and 51.8% female. The average age was 38.1 ± 10.05 years. The 44.6% had high emotional exhaustion, 76.7% high depersonalization and 60.7% low personal accomplishment. Conclusions: The frequency of the Burnout syndrome according to the criteria defined by Maslach was 39.2%. The most affected was the depersonalization dimension, finding that 76.7% showed high levels. Keywords: Burnout syndrome, labor exhaustion, physician, nurses .
