--- The objective of the present study was to determine the frequency of antibodies against eight serovars of Leptospira in pigs originating of technified and no technified breeding from the valley of Lima. To this end were collected blood samples of pigs (n = 338) during the sacrifice at two slaughterhouses of the city of Lima for the detection of antibodies against Leptospira sp., by means of the microaglutination test. 86.1 ± 3.7% (291/338) of samples was positive to one or more serovars of Leptospira sp. 89.9 ± 4.5% (152/169) and 82.2 ± 5.8% (139/169) of samples in pigs originating of technified and no technified breeding, respectively, had antibodies against Leptospira sp. The serovars icterohaemorrhagiae, pomona and georgia were the most extended in pig population of both types of breeding. No antibodies were detected against the serovars bratislava and grippothyphosa. The antibody titles had a range between 1:100 to 1:1600 in animals of both types of breeding, but 45.3% of the animals with titles between 400 to 1600 were of no technified breeding versus 16.4 % in the animals of technified breeding. Antibodies to more of a serovar were detected in the animals of both types of breeding in where the infections for the serovars icterohaemorrhagiae and pomona were the most frequent. The variables type of breeding, sex, and age not constitute factors of risk for the infection for Leptospira sp., in this two type of pigs operations. Keywords: pigs, microaglutination, antibodies, Leptospira sp., serovar.
