The system of public procurement and contracting is a mechanism of great importance that contributes to the economic and social development of the country. For this reason, it is vitally important to have a competent, efficient, transparent system with state-of-the-art technology and, in addition, that the development of its processes have practices that contribute to environmental protection. The study entity is the Almenara Hospital, belonging to EsSalud, an institution responsible for providing comprehensive care to the needs of the insured population. Due to this, this entity is oriented to process management, seeking continuous improvement in its technologies and information systems, in order to achieve the well-being of the insured population. For this, it requires contracting goods and services, faithfully complying with the laws and regulations on public procurement and contracting; which are oriented to maximize the investment of public resources, promoting an efficient management that achieves results in a timely manner and under the best conditions of price and quality. In this research work seeks to analyze and improve the processes of procurement and contracting of the State at the Almenara Hospital. All this in order to ensure that the procurement of goods and services are of quality, provide security and financial sustainability, with the support of recognized and committed employees within the framework of ethics and transparency in management.
