This work focuses on the implementation of a DLP solution called “SCANPAN“ in a banking institution to monitor and identify PANs processed and stored in workstations and servers. The main objective of this project is to mitigate PAN leakage. For this purpose, four specific objectives were carried out. Firstly, a DLP solution was selected based on criteria relevant to the current situation of the bank. Secondly, the network architecture was designed, which outlines the required communications and servers to be deployed for the solution. Thirdly, the DLP solution was implemented following the established architecture design, deploying the agents on each endpoint, developing DLP policies and scanning tasks. Finally, a continuity plan was developed to ensure the sustainability and stability of the proposed solution over time. The results reveal a monitoring of PAN incidents, identifying a total of 567 scanned computers, of which 293 store and process card data. It was observed that the extension containing most of the PANs is of PDF type, and the path to the files matching the DLP policies is provided. In summary, the DLP solution has proven to be effective in monitoring and identifying PAN data on the bank's equipment, backed by its accuracy in identifying and delivering details that facilitate information leakage analysis.
