The global ceramic coatings industry has experienced a 6.8% increase in sales. Contrastingly, in Peru, a 7.86% decline has been observed over the past year. In light of this disparity, optimizing resource utilization is imperative for companies to maintain competitiveness and achieve international expansion. This study proposes the adoption of Autonomous Maintenance and 5S methodologies to enhance the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of the kiln, identified as a critical piece of equipment. The implementation of these methodologies has resulted in an 8.1% improvement in OEE, reaching a total of 88.6%, thereby positioning the ABC company as a world-class entity in the manufacturing sector. This enhancement has led to a 9.32% increase in annual tile production, reflecting significant gains in organizational and operational efficiency. Moreover, employee training and the encouragement of teamwork have bolstered the organizational culture, fostering a climate of heightened responsibility and commitment. In conclusion, the application of Autonomous Maintenance and 5S has demonstrated substantial benefits, not only in operational efficiency but also in economic, organizational, and cultural domains. The findings suggest that these practices could be effectively extended to other production areas, further increasing productivity and solidifying ABC's position as a world-class leader in the ceramic coatings industry.
