The purpose of the following research was to analyze the construction of visual identity and typography on social media of Peruvian mypes in the fashion sector between 2020 and 2023, which had to migrate their advertising to virtual media –such as Instagram–, due to COVID-19. Based on the analysis of three mypes, a hypothesis was raised based on their needs, values and objectives, determining which element of the visual identity circle they should focus on. Regarding the theoretical approach, a contribution was made to the knowledge of graphic design by recognizing and recapitulating records of studies that corroborate the importance of an adequate construction of the visual identity, with a focus on typography, according to the needs of mypes and how visual identity is increasingly necessary to generate recall and distinction in the face of market competition. To this end, the visual analysis technique and a semi-structured question guide of our own elaboration were used for the convenience of the owners of the selected mypes. After the analysis and interviews, the main results found were that the use of visual identity is currently essential to be able to communicate correctly with the target audience. It was also found that mypes prefer to have logos that include the use of very communicative typography, which at the same time has become the most outstanding type of logo in the new generation of such graphic resources.
