The implementation of the project consists of to improve efficiency in a company that provides marine products through Preventive Maintenance and Process Standardization. The organization under study has an efficiency of 82.4%, which was compared to that of the sector, which represents 96%. Three reasons were identified that lead to this problem: High squid processing times, Line stops due to failures in sewing machines, and High maintenance times in belts. Due to this, there was an economic impact in 2023 of S/ 587,085.66. The implementation is focused on eliminating activities and unifying them to reduce the total time spent on the squid fillet line. In addition, it was intended to apply maintenance tasks to critical equipment to reduce failures. The standard time was reduced to 398.75 seconds, the MTTR of the sewing machine, a value of 1.87 hours was obtained, an increase in its MTBF to 542.12 hours and the MTTR of the conveyor belt to 2.30 hours. With these results obtained, efficiency was increased to 90%. Finally, through parameters the viability of the project was evaluated with an NPV: S/ 594,684 > 0, an IRR 175% > 11% COK, an RBC of 8.76 soles and a PRD of 0.49 years. In conclusion, it is determined that the project is beneficial.
