Currently, inventory management is a fundamental factor to improve the efficiency and performance of companies. In the advertising products industry, for example, there is evidence of an annual growth of 8.8% in imports in companies in Peru. As a result of these growths in demand, problems arise such as low inventory control, inadequate purchase planning and excess products in warehouses, which causes low inventory turnover. Many investigations indicate the importance of having an optimal storage and supply system that allows avoiding an excess or breakage of stock and optimizing costs. The company under study is a MYPE in the retail trade sector that presents difficulties with the rotation of its merchandise due to deficiencies in the purchasing and storage area, affecting the accumulated time that the materials remain in the warehouse. The motivation of the case under study focuses on designing an inventory management model that allows reducing the time of products in the warehouse, avoiding high costs and deterioration of products. From this, it is proposed to implement a mathematical model based on the parameters of inventory management that allows the development of the integration of the Silver Meal method, ABC cycle count and the 5S methodology in order to optimize the inventory rotation of the company. Through validation, it is possible to obtain an increase in the rotation of vinyl family products from 5.14 times a year to 6.47 times a year. In addition, it seeks to improve the traceability of the products and reduce the variability of the real inventory with the system inventory by 5.82%. Therefore, it is concluded that the proposed tools improve the inventory system and the performance of the company.
