This improvement proposal work is related to the metalworking sector. The company is focused on the design and manufacture of office furniture and accessories, with office modules as its main product. The current problem that the company faces is the low availability of its 02 main machines: Lacer CNC and CNC Folder, due to two main reasons: unscheduled machine stoppage and unfulfilled scheduled stops. This is due to 03 causes: Lack of basic maintenance, maintenance plan not in accordance with operational reality and lack of standardization in its processes. Therefore, to solve the problem, three tools are applied: Autonomous Maintenance, RCM and Standard Work. Furthermore, in order to validate this model, it was decided to rely on Rockwell Automation's Arena software, to be able to model and simulate the process over a period of 5 years. The result of the improvement model was to increase the availability of the machines from 80.5% to 90%, the MTBF from 243 to 272.5 and the cycle time from 164 to 130. Likewise, the evaluation of the economic impact was carried out, resulting in the economic viability, since the result of the IRR in the 03 scenarios are values greater than the COK value of 19.5% and the NPV value was greater than zero.
