The project addresses the crucial challenge of improving the seismic infrastructure in urban buildings, performing a seismic analysis and also the structural design of a 5-story Multifamily Housing in the Pachacamac District in order to mitigate the effects of earthquakes in highly populated areas. The study focuses on the design and analysis of structural systems that can resist and reduce the impact of high magnitude seismic events. The work begins with an exhaustive review of the existing literature on seismic design, current regulations and innovative technologies in the field of structural engineering. The main vulnerabilities of buildings to earthquakes are identified and a methodological framework is proposed to evaluate and improve the seismic resistance of structures. In accordance with the National Building Regulations, complying with the provisions of standard E.030 to achieve an adequate earthquake-resistant building. In addition, beams, slabs, plates and columns will be designed, complying with standard E.60. On the other hand, they will be modeled in the Etabs Software and seismic analysis of the building.
