This professional work was carried out on the structural analysis and design of a 5-story reinforced concrete multi-family home to avoid damage from severe earthquakes in the Ate vitarte district. The multi-family building has 5 levels and typical floors, it has an area of 159.78 m2, in turn, it is a structural system of structural walls, the analysis and design will meet the criteria of the seismic regulations E0.30, loads E0.20 and reinforced concrete E0.60 The initial chapters define the work, the architectural plans will help us to structure the building and for this we will use the structuring criteria proposed by the engineer Blanco Blasco Antonio, structural elements such as lightened slab, solid slab, beams, columns and plates. In addition, a preliminary pre-sizing is carried out and the loads are calculated in accordance with current regulations E0.20. After that, the building will be analyzed statically and dynamically with the help of the Etabs software, to evaluate the behavior of the building against earthquakes and gravitational loads. Also, it is ensured that the drift and mass participation parameters are met and that 80% of the static basal shear does not exceed the dynamic shear, in accordance with regulation E0.30. Finally, each structural element of the home is designed. This design is carried out in accordance with the E0.60 reinforced concrete regulations, respecting the criteria and parameters established for the design in terms of flexure, shear and compression flexure.
