This study examines the current situation of a medium-sized company in the industrial plastics sector in Peru, identifying the opportunities it has to capitalize on the market and expand. It emphasizes the importance of addressing the primary issue of process configuration, which is the main focus of this study. The paper reviews various companies in Latin America facing similar issues and the solutions they propose. It specifies the conceptual framework of the different methodologies and concepts these companies applied, such as process management, Business Process Management (BPM), Integrated Management System (IMS), As-Is modeling, To-Be modeling, the Process and Enterprise Maturity Model (PEMM), process activity diagrams (flowcharts), process maps, process characterization sheets, and the Deming Cycle. From the identified solution alternatives, the three best options are BPM, IMS, and the Deming Cycle, as they are the most comprehensive tools. Finally, the analysis of these three best solution alternatives is presented through a weighting matrix, where the best alternative found is the IMS, which impacts all company processes for continuous improvement in the organization.
