This work describes how the communication campaign “Starting Together”, made up of a virtual event and network content, aimed at newly incorporated students, underwent various changes to maintain the link between the university and said students after the pandemic. The general objective is to present the digital transformation of the communication campaign at the UPC San Miguel campus, for the insertion of students into their first university cycle in 2023, taking as reference the professional experience of Valeria Ludeña as co-manager of the same. It was decided to use a qualitative approach methodology. To do this, an analysis matrix was carried out on the publications on the official campus Instagram that focus on before and after the development of the new campaign, a review of the attendance reports was carried out, and the satisfaction survey that was carried out was examined. Post-virtual event was carried out, and an interview was carried out with an authority from the organizing area. This work shows how the transition to digital communication was beneficial for the students' insertion process at the UPC. The integration of the Microsoft Teams platform allowed the execution of a remote event that maintained the usefulness of the information to the students prior to the start of classes. The holding of the event remotely was used as an additional dissemination channel to invite attendees to future activities and to be part of the university community on their social networks. At the same time, the change in the tone of communication on networks also benefited establishing closeness with the students, which was reflected in their positive response to the campaign. Due to the aforementioned, the work contributes to a closer understanding of the university public and lays the foundation for future studies on university communication strategies and their digital transformation to address newly incorporated students.
