In summary, in this professional sufficiency work (TSP), the importance of construction materials in building projects and the deficient processes in the purchase of materials are evident. By neglecting the management in the purchase of materials and being a high percentage for the projects, an increase is generated in the final budget due to the high amount of waste produced in the project, which is material that is sent to the dump due to because it cannot be reused. For this, information from the company FGA Ingenieros SA was used, which carries out the Expansion and Remodeling Project of the Owens Illions-Lurín plant. In this way, a comparison was made between the current and proposed purchasing process. The current process consists of seven (7) activities and the forecast time for receiving materials takes approximately 9 to 10 days. The proposed process consists of ten (10) activities, but compared to the current process, the forecast time for receiving the materials is approximately 5 days, considering from the purchase requirement to the registration of the required material, evidencing the efficiency. of the proposed process that generates a reduction in the amount of waste, being an economic benefit for the company.
