The purpose of this study is to improve pedestrian accessibility by redesigning road infrastructure through the reduction of travel times and conflicts present at the intersection of Faucett Avenue and Venezuela Avenue. The analysis is carried out using the Vissim and Viswalk software, which simulate vehicular and pedestrian traffic in an area of interest, from which data was collected in the field such as vehicular flow, pedestrian flow, pedestrian travel times, and speed. average number of vehicles, traffic light cycle, and the geometry of tracks and sidewalks. To conduct the modeling, the intersection is designed virtually in the Vissim program using the data collected in the field. To recreate the current situation, the modeling must be calibrated and validated. The calibration was carried out with numerical values, which are the parameters of social force. These data change the modeling to resemble reality. In the redesign proposal, the geometry of the sidewalks, avenues and ramps was modified. Some posts that hindered free pedestrian traffic were also moved and the traffic light cycle was modified. Previously to the changes, 94 pedestrian-vehicle conflicts were recorded. While with these changes there were 41, therefore, a reduction in pedestrian conflicts of 44% was obtained and pedestrian travel times were also reduced by an average of 1.45 seconds. Therefore, based on these results, it is determined that the intersection is safer and more accessible for pedestrians
