This project proposes as problematic one of the phenomena caused by the change in temperatures that the Peruvian ecosystem has been experiencing. Specifically, we refer to the phenomenon of the child and the influence it has on causing landslides and the collateral damage they cause to urban areas. In this case, the study area is the Malanche ravine, which is activated aggressively when this phenomenon occurs. Thus, leaving large-scale damage in the surrounding urban areas like the event that occurred in 2023. What is proposed is a comparative analysis between modeling carried out in the Hec-Ras software and what happened tangibly in the city of Punta Hermosa. For this reason, in this report the hydrodynamic modeling of the Malanche ravine is carried out when it is activated as a result of the rains caused by the El Niño phenomenon. Likewise, the stream will be shown at its maximum flooding point in an ideal case where only water would enter and the areas that would be affected within the modeling of this event. This is done this way for practical purposes of the project. The sample of results obtained by the modeling carried out in the Hec – Ras software indicates that what was seen digitally clearly represents what happened in real terms. Therefore, it clearly shows us which areas and properties are those that could be damaged in the future if the phenomenon happens with greater intensity. Finally, a proposal for a maintenance and cleaning solution for the ravine is given to generate less debris, which is what destroys the surrounding properties.
