Currently, the automotive market is going through a stage of growth worldwide, given that the need for lubricating oils by large and small industries increases over the years. In Peru, as the sale of light vehicles increases, companies in the automotive sector will have the need to improve their processes to meet the growing demand. Therefore, this research study focuses on solving the problems faced by a company that is dedicated to the manufacture of lubricating oils for the automotive sector. Within its production lines, there is the packaging line for one-liter presentations, which currently has a very low efficiency (31.01%) that causes significant impacts for the company. For this reason, it is proposed to implement planned maintenance, a pillar of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and the Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED). For the functional validation of the project, the Arena Simulation software was used, in which the simulation of the expected scenario results in an increase in the general efficiency of the line from 31.01% to 56.88%, and setup times are also reduced using SMED.
