Currently, the mining sector undergoes significant changes related to its unproductive times. Nationally, operations are below capacity and effectiveness levels. Consequently, the problem highlights the overall low effectiveness of equipment in the operational process of siliceous limestone bricks. This problem assumes importance due to its impact on unproductive costs in the selected process, creating considerable economic impacts. This situation underscores previous efforts to ensure that this problem is resolved by minimizing its causes through the implementation of TPM methodology. This methodology is our main motivation, as its pillars provide improvements to increase the overall equipment effectiveness indicator. Therefore, as a contribution, the development of an optimization model in its times and availability is proposed to ensure the overall effectiveness of the equipment through the KAIZEN approach as continuous improvement to the selected system. This integration of SMED (as a focused improvement pillar) and TPM as a validation design encourages optimal performance in the installation service, offering tentative benefits through its implementation. Thus, the main result achieved is a 35% increase in effectiveness, generating considerable economic savings of 15% on its economic impact. In conclusion, it is affirmed that the implementation of TPM methodology under the proposed design fulfills the objectives, addressing 80% of the vital reasons, causing its main causes to be eliminated.
