In recent years, the plastic sector has established itself as a pillar of economic growth due to its various industrial applications in other sectors such as automotive, construction, electronics, medical care, and others, which is why it has been experiencing notable growth as a result. of increasing demand. The GDP of this sector was 12.21%, generating more than 48 million soles; However, in various investigations in the sector, constant problems of unplanned machinery stop, and high set-up times were found, thus causing low production efficiency. Due to this situation, with the purpose of solving the identified problems and reducing the impact generated by this, a solution model is proposed where the SMED tools and 2 of the pillars of the TPM tool, Autonomous Maintenance and Planned Maintenance, are implemented. This model is applied in a company that belongs to the plastic sector dedicated to the manufacturing of plastic products, which presents problems of low equipment efficiency; However, with the implementation of this proposal an increase in efficiency would be achieved, going from 39.87% to 64.70%. Finally, with these results, we can conclude that the model could generate an increase in efficiency in the company, managing to cover demand and position itself in a better position in the market.
