This work focuses on the analysis and structural design of a 5-story multifamily building located in San Isidro, Lima. The building, with a total area of 170 m2, is located on a typical gravel land in the area, with a bearing capacity of 45 tn/m2. The structural system combines reinforced concrete walls and frames to guarantee high resistance and rigidity. The slabs were designed light in one direction and solid in two, according to the needs of each level. All design calculations and analysis have been carried out following the standards established in the National Building Regulations (RNE). For further analysis, a three-dimensional model has been developed using ETABS software. This model has made it possible to evaluate the structural behavior of the building under gravity and seismic loads, obtaining maximum displacements and drifts that are within the permitted limits. The building has 1 elevator and 1 staircase that connect the first floor to the top level. The complete and safe structural design complies with current standards and adapts to the specific characteristics of the terrain and the typology of the building.
