The current research work seeks to determine the influence of leadership styles on the work commitment of workers in the multiple banking sector in the context of Covid-19 in Metropolitan Lima in the year 2022. The reason why the research focuses on this sector is because of its continuous growth in recent years, in additional to the importance of establishing a leadership style that enhances the development of workers. To analyze this study, a quantitative, causal and applied research was conducted on a sample of 377 employees of the four main companies in the multiple banking sector. In addition, the multifactorial leadership questionnaire and the Utrecht work engagement scale were used as measurement instruments for the variables of leadership styles and work engagement, respectively. Likewise, data analysis was performed using the multiple linear regression model for the general objective, while simple linear regression was used for the specific objectives. In this way, the results obtained showed that transformational and transactional leadership have a positive influence on work engagement, while passive leadership has a negative influence on work engagement. These findings are important for companies in the banking sector, since they contribute with knowledge that will help to encourage employee engagement and, thus, obtain better results in the organizations.
