The fishing industry plays an important role in Peru's economy and fishmeal is its main exportable product. FM Pacific S.A.C. is a company that helps sell fishmeal abroad and participates as an intermediary, earning a commission for the transaction. However, there has been a high incidence of claims at destination due to low protein in the fishmeal. Therefore, the objective of this Professional Sufficiency Work is the optimization of logistics management in the supply chain of FM Pacific S.A.C. with the purpose of minimizing claims for protein degradation in fishmeal exports. The project is developed with a qualitative, descriptive, and observational methodological approach. In the first alternative, the implementation of a sample control and storage area in the facilities of FM Pacific S.A.C. is proposed. The second alternative consists of implementing a traceability report and implementing new contractual clauses. The third alternative is to hire an official supervisor to analyze the product and reserve a sample. A comparative analysis was carried out with industry experts, and it was concluded that implementing a traceability report and implementing contractual clauses is the most viable way to optimize logistics management in the supply chain of FM Pacific S.A.C. and minimize claims for protein degradation in the exports of fishmeal.
