All processes of the international logistics chain are essential for products to be sent efficiently from one country to another. At this point, it must be considered that there are products that are more sensitive than others and require special care, such as meats. The demand for this type of products has grown so much that the local market is not supplied, which generates the need to import foreign brands and it is a constant challenge for companies to maintain an adequate cold chain. In this investigation, a company that imports frozen meats and offal was analyzed with the purpose of determining why one of its products, beef lung, constantly arrives with damage and proposing a solution. To do this, qualitative methodology was used through the study of national and international research, and it was determined that the best option for the company is to change the purchasing terms with its suppliers. This will allow you to have greater control over origin operations and optimize the import costs.
