This study delves into the detailed analysis of the black spots with the highest incidence of traffic accidents in the district of Comas, in order to propose innovative and low-cost measures to significantly reduce the risk of accidents for drivers and pedestrians. In this thesis, we focus on identifying critical danger areas on the streets of the Comas district, thus deciding to concentrate on the intersection of Av. 22 de agosto with Vicente Angulo, which is the most critical area of the district. Consequently, specific solutions were designed to address these challenges. Our approach centers on the implementation of the ViDA – iRAP software, applying low-cost engineering measures to enhance road safety in the Comas district. Through this comprehensive analysis and collaboration with local authorities, we aspire to improve the quality and safety for drivers and pedestrians, transforming the roads of this district and ensuring a safer and more efficient environment for all citizens. With the application of the ViDA – iRAP software and the low-cost measures implemented in the study area, significant results were obtained. A comparison was made between two situations: the first being the current situation of the area, which scored 1 star, indicating a major deficit in road safety. On the other hand, the second situation considered the area implemented with low-cost measures, resulting in a score of 4 to 5 stars, indicating that the area is safer and less likely to cause traffic accidents.
