The auto parts trade sector is facing increasingly difficult challenges, as the demand for vehicle spare parts has increased over the years due to the constant growth of the vehicle fleet. Likewise, the customer has become more and more demanding, so the level of service is one of the indicators that determine the survival of the companies. The project shows how inventory and warehouse management are decisive for spare parts marketers because the increase in the level of service can reduce costs of the companies. To achieve this, the 5s methodology is used to create an environment of order and cleanliness, the zoning method is applied to optimize times within the dispatch process, the standard work tool is implemented to have better control of inventories and real-time information of stocks, and inventory policies are implemented to avoid stock ruptures. When carrying out the implementation, the result is a service level of 89.53%, a reduction of 60 minutes spent in the dispatch process, a reduction in stockouts by 4.92%, and an inventory accuracy of 98.5%. Likewise, carrying out the economic evaluation shows that the project is viable, and a benefit is expected to be obtained after the second year of implementation of the proposal.
