The current work is based on the research carried out by the authors, entitled “Process Improvement Model Based on Lean Manufacturing and Plant Distribution to Reduce Production Times”, which consists of the following: Currently, Peruvian textile companies have lost competitiveness in the national market and the COVID-19 pandemic only accelerated the decline that this industry has had in the last decade. This is due to various problems that affect the sector such as high production times. The purpose of this research is to design a model that hybridly integrates two tools from Lean Manufacturing (LM) and one from Systematic Layout Planning (SLP), with the purpose of reducing the total production time generated by processes poorly executed by operators, times deaths when waiting for the product in process to arrive from one area to another, unnecessary transportation times and times to move elements that do not belong to the area of a textile MYPE (Micro and small business). To achieve this, two components were proposed: improving staff skills and taking advantage of the physical space of the production plant. After the simulation, a reduction in production time of 23.13% for duvets and 52.48% for sheets would be obtained. Consequently, it can be stated that there would be an increase in production efficiency by 7.33%. This means that if the company implements the proposed model it could fulfill all the orders it currently has without outsourcing or working overtime.
