The execution of deep excavations in soils with a high-water table presents significant risks, such as flooding from water infiltration and ground instability. This study evaluates, through a technical-economic analysis, the application of drainage systems in the Chorrillos district to ensure safe construction and identify their effects on the environment. For the development of the research, Wellpoint and Deep Well systems were selected based on the geotechnical characteristics of the soil. Both systems were designed following the guidelines described in international literature to obtain the sizing, geometry, pumping capacity, drawdown time, etc. Additionally, the soil-water behavior during the drawdown of the water table was schematically represented to graphically illustrate the induced drawdown. In this way, the effects on the environment, such as the increase in effective pressures that produce settlements due to consolidation, were determined. Moreover, an economic study of the implementation costs of each system was carried out according to technical recommendations, allowing a comparative analysis. As a result, it was determined that for the case study, a pumping capacity with a flow rate of 34.69 l/s is required to achieve a 2.50 m drawdown of the water table. Regarding the effects produced by this drawdown, a settlement of 0.87 cm within a radius of 20 m around the site was estimated. Finally, the implementation cost is S/. 48,134.21 for the wellpoints and S/. 67,747.36 for the deep wells.
