The objective of this work of professional sufficiency is to develop a budget guide, applied to projects of metallic structures. Where you get metrics and standardized quotes. It takes into account the working conditions, the complexity of the structures and their weights to have a filter classification in light, medium and heavy. Because project budgeting involves different stages to be considered, formats were developed to improve the link of known information. These are: “RD“ Data Record, “BD“ Database, “ME“ Structure Measurement and “FP“ Budget Format. These resources link the information of different metal profiles used within a project, achieving the most important value of the structure that is the weight. The relationship that arises from the cost analysis has allowed us to track the cost factor - kilo of the projects evaluated. As a result, the indirect relation of the behavior by type of classification of metal structure was obtained. That is, as the structure becomes heavier, weight-related cost values are reduced. These ratios are the following $3.92/kg, $5.17/kg and $5.78 allocated to heavy, medium and light type structures, respectively. This serves to find the relationship between the weight of the measurement and the costs analyzed for the various metal structures projects and to maintain the competition of small and medium-sized companies against the strong increase in labor demand in the construction sector.
